As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Operations in Deer Park, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist visitors with professionalism and clear communication. - Provide customer service to visitors, clients, and staff at a public social services location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain a professional presence in public-facing areas.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
