Description

WHO WE ARE:

The Cyber Security team, part of Accenture Security, supports organizations in building secure, resilient, and scalable security capabilities across complex enterprise technology landscapes — integrating security into software development, cloud adoption, digital transformation, and technology modernization so that security by design and security by default are reflected in how systems are actually built and operated, not only in policy.

We act as trusted advisors to some of the world's leading organizations, helping them define pragmatic security operating models, improve security maturity, and align cybersecurity capabilities with their business and technology objectives. Working at the forefront of the industry means constant exposure to complex, high-stakes security challenges and the latest technologies — across banking, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and public sector, each with its own regulatory context and technical scale.

As part of a global security leader, you work on engagements that span the full breadth of modern enterprise security — from securing AI-enabled systems and cloud-native architectures to embedding security into large-scale digital transformation programmed. The variety of clients, industries, and technology stacks means you are continuously challenged, and the depth of expertise around you means you are never navigating that alone.

THE WORK:

  • Design and implement Zero Trust architectures across enterprise environments — defining identity-centric access models, micro-segmentation strategies, and least-privilege network controls that replace legacy perimeter-based approaches.

  • Assess and transform network security posture. Evaluate existing network security architectures against current threat models and regulatory requirements, identify gaps, and define prioritized modernization roadmaps that clients' teams can realistically execute.

  • Design secure hybrid and multi-cloud network architectures across Azure, AWS, and GCP — covering network segmentation, secure connectivity, cloud-native security controls, and integration with on-premises environments.

  • Lead firewall policy rationalization and automation program. Tackle the accumulated complexity of legacy firewall rule sets — identifying what can be removed, what needs redesigning, and how to automate ongoing policy management so that the estate remains governable at scale.

  • Embed network security into DevSecOps and platform engineering. Work alongside development and platform teams to integrate network security controls into CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native platforms — bringing security left rather than treating it as a perimeter concern.

  • Support the security of AI-enabled infrastructure. Advise on the network and infrastructure security implications of AI and LLM-based systems — including secure data flows, model access controls, inference API exposure, and isolation of AI workloads within broader enterprise environments.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders on network security strategy, architecture direction, and where the discipline is heading — translating complex infrastructure security topics into clear recommendations for technical leads, architects, and senior decision-makers.

Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office - depending on specific project circumstances.

With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders, and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • Work on international cybersecurity transformation program for some of the world's leading organizations — on network security challenges that go far beyond routine operations, into architecture, strategy, and large-scale modernization.

  • Breadth you cannot get in-house. In a single year you see how organizations across banking, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and public sector approach the same network security and Zero Trust challenges — and where they fail. That range, across cloud security, identity, application security, and network transformation, takes far longer to accumulate on a single internal team.

  • The opportunity to move beyond network operations. If you have a strong network security foundation and want to develop into cloud security, Zero Trust architecture, AI security, or security consulting, this role is built for that transition.

  • Room to set direction and grow as a trusted advisor. On most engagements you are the person defining what a modern, secure network architecture looks like for a client — leading discussions with architects, platform teams, and senior stakeholders, not maintaining someone else's rule set.

  • Collaborate with a diverse team of over 150 cybersecurity experts in Poland and thousands across the globe, in an environment focused on innovation, continuous learning, and practical business outcomes.

  • A wide catalogue of development opportunities: technical, soft-skills, and language training, e-learning platforms, GenAI training, and security certifications — open to everyone who wants to grow.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

We are looking for network security professionals who want to use their technical foundation as a platform for broader security work — in cloud, Zero Trust, application security, and advisory. Solid network security knowledge is the baseline; the direction of travel is what matters as much as where you are today.

  • A solid network security background. Several years of hands-on experience in network security, network engineering, or a closely related discipline — with practical knowledge of routing, switching, firewall policy management, and network security architecture.

  • Understanding of network security principles and protocols. Routing and switching technologies (BGP, OSPF, MPLS), TCP/IP protocols, LAN/WAN architectures, and how they fail from a security perspective. Familiarity with firewall policy management across technologies such as Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco, or F5.

  • A working grasp of Zero Trust principles. Identity-centric access models, micro-segmentation, least-privilege network design, and how Zero Trust frameworks translate into real architecture decisions — not only as a concept, but as something you can advise a client team on.

  • Familiarity with cloud networking and security. Hands-on experience with at least one public cloud platform — Azure, AWS, or GCP — sufficient to understand cloud network architecture, assess security decisions, and advise on secure hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity.

  • Ability to assess and communicate risk. Capability to evaluate a network security architecture, identify meaningful gaps, priorities them by actual risk, and articulate findings clearly to both technical teams and senior stakeholders.

  • Awareness of adjacent security domains. A working interest in at least one of: application security, identity and access management, DevSecOps, or AI and infrastructure security — and a clear motivation to develop further in these areas alongside network security.

  • Language requirements. Professional proficiency in both English and Polish is required. English is the primary language for client-facing work — including findings communication, workshop facilitation, and presentations to senior stakeholders up to CISO level. Polish is the language of day-to-day team operations. Proficiency in both is a non-negotiable requirement for this role.

  • Ways of working. Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate complex network and infrastructure security topics into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences. A proactive, advisory mindset — comfortable defining what good looks like for a client rather than waiting to be told. Adaptability and a genuine interest in expanding beyond traditional network security, given the direction this role is designed to grow in.

Seniority levels

Regular (approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience). Candidates at this level are expected to deliver defined workstreams — conducting network security assessments, supporting Zero Trust and cloud architecture reviews, and communicating findings to client technical teams. A solid network security foundation is expected, with active development toward cloud security, Zero Trust, and security advisory capabilities.

Senior (approximately 5+ years of relevant experience). Candidates at this level are expected to lead workstreams, provide technical direction, and mentor junior colleagues. This requires demonstrated depth in network security architecture, combined with real breadth across at least one adjacent domain — cloud security, Zero Trust, identity, or application security — and the standing to present and defend a position to senior client stakeholders up to CISO level.

Years of experience are provided as guidance only and are not a strict eligibility criterion. Candidates transitioning from network engineering, infrastructure, or in-house security roles who want to move into security consulting and architecture are encouraged to apply — if you can demonstrate the relevant skills and a clear direction of travel, we will work out where you fit. Seniority is assessed based on demonstrated capability during the interview process, not determined at the CV screening stage.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

Any one of these is a plus, and we value the individual experience you bring over the number of lines you tick. For a Regular role none of them is required. For a Senior role we expect real depth in at least one.

  • Hands-on experience with network security policy management platforms Algosec AFA/Fireflow, Tufin SecureTrack/SecureChange, or equivalent — including firewall rule rationalisation and automation.

  • Experience with Software Defined Networking — Arista SDN, Cisco ACI, or equivalent — and the security implications of SDN architectures.

  • Zero Trust architecture design or implementation experience — across identity, device, network, application, and data pillars — and familiarity with frameworks such as NIST SP 800-207 or CISA Zero Trust Maturity Model.

  • Cloud network security in practice: VPC/VNet design, cloud-native firewall and WAF services, secure connectivity (VPN, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect), and network security posture management across Azure, AWS, or GCP.

  • Identity and access management concepts — including SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SSO, and PAM — and how identity integrates with network security controls in a Zero Trust model.

  • Network security automation — scripting in Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar — applied to policy management, configuration validation, or security monitoring.

  • Application security awareness: OWASP Top 10, API security, and how application-layer risks interact with network security controls.

  • Experience with or interest in AI and infrastructure security — including securing data flows to AI systems, isolating AI workloads, and managing access to LLM inference APIs within enterprise network environments.

  • Vulnerability assessment and security review of network infrastructure identifying exploitable weaknesses in routing, switching, or firewall configurations and translating findings into actionable remediation guidance.

  • Exposure to risk management and compliance frameworks relevant to network security — ISO 27001, NIST CSF, NIS2, or sector-specific regulatory requirements.

  • Prior consulting or client-facing experience in a security or infrastructure advisory role.

  • Security or cloud certifications — CCNP Security, CISSP, AWS/Azure/GCP Security, or equivalent — we care about what you can do, and we co-finance certifications once you are here.

Research indicates that some candidates, especially the most diverse ones, may hesitate to apply for positions if they don't meet all requirements. If you believe you possess the necessary skills, even if not meeting every requirement, we wholeheartedly encourage you to submit your application.
