Data and Business Analyst

The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

• Define, maintain, and communicate with Product Owners on a clear Product Vision, Strategy, and Roadmap for complex, high-impact products.
• Own, prioritize, and groom the Product Backlog continuously to ensure the development team always has a healthy supply of ready-to-work, high-value user stories.
• Formulate and define product scope, objectives, and Acceptance Criteria (Definition of Done), ensuring alignment with business value and customer outcomes.
• Proactively identify, communicate, and manage product-level risks, dependencies, and impacts.
• Analyze data for data sourcing and data analytics specific requirements. Perform data gap analysis and address client queries.
• Translate complex stakeholder needs and business requirements into clear, actionable Epics and User Stories rather than static functional specifications.
• Partner with cross-functional leadership, engineering, design, and other business units to align product delivery with broader organizational objectives.
• Recommend and prioritize product enhancements, system alternatives, or pivot strategies by analyzing user behavior, product metrics, and industry standards.
• Leverage data-driven insights, product analytics, and strategic thinking to define customer problems, validate hypotheses, and design innovative product solutions.
• Influence strategic functional and business decisions by presenting clear product metrics, KPIs, and value-realization reports.
• Facilitate day-to-day collaboration, manage product resource priorities, and allocate work through agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews

Qualifications: 

• 5-8 years of experience
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis
• Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe). Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) is highly preferred.
• Product Management: Proven experience in managing a product lifecycle from conception to launch, including backlog grooming, story mapping, and release planning.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect technical capabilities to business outcomes and customer value.
• Data & Analytics: Proficiency in using product analytics tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, SQLs, Tableau ) to make data-driven decisions.
• Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership without direct authority.
• Risk & Compliance: Strong understanding of financial services regulations, risk assessment frameworks, and compliance standards.
