Machine Operator

Location: Hinckley, OH
Shift: 2nd Shift — 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour

Job Summary

We are seeking an Entry-Level Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Hinckley, Ohio.

The Machine Operator will operate and monitor modern CNC machining and grinding equipment, perform quality inspections, make basic machine adjustments, and maintain production requirements. No advanced CNC experience is required for this entry-level position; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Feed, load, unload, and operate CNC machining and grinding equipment.
• Monitor machines during production to ensure proper operation and product quality.
• Perform in-process and post-operation inspections using micrometers, gauges, calipers, and other measuring tools.
• Make basic machine offsets and adjustments as trained to maintain required dimensions and geometry.
• Follow work instructions, production specifications, and safety procedures.
• Meet established production and quality requirements.
• Identify and report machine, tooling, or production issues.
• Work with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and delivery requirements.
• Assist with packaging and preparation of finished products.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Participate in training and learn additional machine operation and setup skills.
• Perform other production and cleaning duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Previous manufacturing, machine operation, CNC, grinding, or production experience is a plus but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
• Ability to use or learn to use precision measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work the assigned shift.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English for training, safety, and work instructions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent reaching and repetitive movements may be required.
• Ability to safely handle materials and components used in production.
• Ability to read work instructions, gauges, and measurement equipment accurately. Corrective lenses are permitted.
• Ability to hear normal conversational speech for training and workplace safety.
• Ability to work safely around CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and machine-shop environment.
• Employees may come into contact with water-soluble machining coolant.
• Safety glasses are required while operating machinery and in designated production areas.
• This position works 2nd shift, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.
• Overtime, including weekends or holidays, may occasionally be required based on production needs.
