This position requires flexibility to meet facility operational needs. The standard schedule is primarily afternoon and evening shifts and includes weekend and holiday coverage.
Pay Range:
$18.85 - $28.30EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Obtained Program of study required/preferred. High school diploma or GED General Studies required. Associates Business Administration or related field preferred. 1-2 years of customer service required with prior computer-based billing processing preferred.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: CPR certification in Basic Life Support preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manages front desk operations, greets visitors/members, provides tours to prospective members, manages laundry and assists with monitoring pools.
- Creates/maintains accurate members' profile in a timely manner within software system. Utilizes discretion in record keeping and processing confidential information.
- Ensures smooth transition of new membership applications, status changes and cancellations as it relates to billing for all categories of Fitness Center members.
- Maintains daily money report, tracks cancellations, and generates monthly reports as deemed necessary by the Coordinator/Manager.
- Collects applicable payments from members/visitors. Enters daily charges into computer in a timely manner, and reconciles daily. Performs and actively monitors collections and reports end of the day.
- Exhibits courtesy, cooperation, and respect towards visitors, supervisor, and co-workers in all personal and telephone interactions in order to create a positive public image. Displays a high level of customer relations as evidenced by no more than two reported incidences per calendar year of negative interactions including telephone, personal or written complaint.
- Reports customer complaints/untoward events to Coordinator/Manager within one day of complaint.
- Effectively promotes a positive work environment while at work and outside the facility. Participates in the marketing the Center and its programs, both in and outside the facility, on an ongoing basis. This may include social media platforms.
- Communicates effectively to ensure safe, optimal care for the customer and to facilitate program operations. Updates the coordinator or director with program planning, equipment needs, anticipation of future services and other relevant issues.
- Participates in all emergency drills/reviews and stays current in all relative certifications. Maintains competencies in all related areas.
- Upholds a professional working relationship at all times and adhere to department rules. Demonstrates a high level of teamwork cooperation, and respect for co-workers.
- Performs other related duties incidental to work described herein.
