Job Description

As a Security Officer Warehouse in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional with Allied Universal at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access credentials, manage visitor registration, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, restricted areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership, document incidents and observations, and support a welcoming, professional environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
