Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time Patrol Technology in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in an educational government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide courteous customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at an educational campus location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders as required by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit procedures, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to designated personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with school administrators, staff, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
