Service Manager | Heavy Construction & Industrial Equipment | Virginia Beach, VA
Infrastructure does not build itself. The equipment that drives piles, digs foundations and makes large scale construction possible has to work every single time it leaves the shop. The Service Manager is the person who makes sure it does.
This role is for the leader who knows heavy equipment, runs a tight shop and takes pride in sending technicians and machinery out the door ready to perform.

What you will be doing:
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of Service Technicians
- Planning and prioritizing shop workflow to meet customer commitments
- Ensuring equipment is inspected, repaired, tested and ready for service before delivery
- Coordinating field service activities and technician scheduling
- Reviewing work orders, repair documentation and service records for accuracy
- Communicating with customers on repair status, scheduling and technical support
- Monitoring department performance, labor utilization, turnaround time and customer satisfaction
- Driving continuous improvement in service processes and operational efficiency
What you need to bring:
- Previous experience leading technicians or managing a service department
- Strong mechanical aptitude with heavy construction, industrial, hydraulic or diesel equipment
- Experience coaching employees and building team accountability
- Strong organizational, planning and problem solving skills
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, Navision and Smartsheet
- Experience with pile driving, foundation construction equipment, hydraulic systems or vibratory hammers is a strong plus
