Primary Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Business Intelligence Analyst will be reporting to the Manager, Business Intelligence. The purpose of this position is to support supply chain business analysis requirements, projects and initiatives. The supply chain analyst will work with business partners to design, implement tools & dashboards, and provide data analysis to assist partners with making strategic business decisions. Essential Functions
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define, analyze and track metrics, provide recommendations and business insights based on trends, patterns and gaps to the business partners to improve the key metrics.
- Ability to extract data through SQL, develop reports, queries from various databases (Microsoft SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Access, Cognos) and summarize insights to assist in decision-making for all levels within Supply Chain.
- Applies expertise in data mining, quantitative analysis and data visualization to tell a compelling story behind the numbers.
- Utilize multiple tools to build & maintain data warehouses, data views, reports, & dashboards utilizing relational databases & data warehouses
- Help Supply Chain arrive at business decisions by providing efficient data visualizations. Simplifying business insights and recommendations of complex problems is a key requirement of the role.
- Thorough understanding of different roles within Supply Chain and think innovatively to automate data needs for these roles.
- Experience in key supply chain and operations functions including demand planning, purchasing, inbound and outbound logistics, and distribution.
- Partner with business teams to gather, document and maintain business and system requirements that will inform data modeling decisions and research and root cause issues that arise.
- Validate & perform end-to-end test all work prior to client deployment.
- Partner with IT on data requirements needed to support the build of data models. High level understanding of data engineering and ETL mechanisms to transfer data between different databases or data warehouses.
- Ability to work with data scientists and understand or interpret the results from various statistical algorithms and also apply the results towards Supply
- Chain KPI improvement.
- Coordinate data feeds and updates
- Support any other identified supply chain/logistics projects.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A four-year college degree in Business or related field is required i.e. business, finance, math, economics.
- 2-4 years of experience in an analytical role preferably in supply chain or logistics
- Basic understanding of transportation, warehousing, supply-chain execution software and third-party logistics.
- Experience with analytic software applications, i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Access, COGNOS
- Experience with development of visuals and dashboards/scorecards using Power BI.
