In the Legal & Compliance division, we support the Firm’s business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the management of legal, regulatory, and franchise risk.

Since 1935, Morgan Stanley has been a global leader in financial services, continuously evolving and innovating to better serve clients and communities in more than 40 countries.

What you’ll do

  • Provide day-to-day reporting oversight, direction, and quality assurance for a colleague based in Mumbai
  • Bring together data from multiple enterprise systems to support management, operational, and regulatory reporting
  • Lead improvements in data quality, reporting governance, controls, documentation, and reporting efficiency
  • Work with business, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Data, and Technology partners to address issues identified through reporting and root-cause analysis
  • Help enhance complaint systems, data structures, coding taxonomies, and monitoring capabilities
  • Explore and implement AI, automation, and advanced analytics solutions to streamline reporting and strengthen insight generation
  • Support complaint risk assessments, gap analyses, remediation activities, and corrective action plans

What you’ll bring

  • Extensive experience in reporting, data analytics, business intelligence, risk reporting, management information, or regulatory reporting
  • Proven ability to independently create, manage, and deliver high-quality reporting for senior audiences
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, or comparable analytics and visualization tools
  • Strong experience analysing large datasets and presenting findings through clear visualizations and compelling business narratives
  • An innovative mindset and practical interest in applying AI, automation, and emerging technologies to reporting challenges
  • Excellent stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to influence, challenge, and build alignment across global teams
  • Experience providing work direction, oversight, or quality assurance across locations
  • Strong analytical judgement and the ability to identify root causes, risks, trends, and appropriate solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • The organization and ownership needed to manage multiple deliverables in a deadline-driven environment
  • Experience in complaints, banking, risk, compliance, consumer finance, or another regulated environment is an advantage
  • Knowledge of retail banking or institutional products and U.S. banking regulations is beneficial
