Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries Fab 9 located in Essex Junction, VT is seeking a KUKA Operations entry level technician for our Manufacturing Operations team. This technician position will be responsible for productivity and performance of both process tools and the KUKA robots operating them in both buildings 973 and 970. This role will be fully on site on a 12-hour N1 night shift schedule (7pm to 7am, Sunday / Monday / Tuesday, and rotating Saturdays).
Essential Responsibilities:
- Exhibit effective communication across all 4 shifts 24/7
- Perform basic preventive maintenance activities
- React to error messages of factory systems and/or equipment
- Load/Unload support of robot-run tools
- Qualify all tools run by assigned robot
- Utilize KUKA dashboard for awareness of production inefficiencies
- Perform first pass at process tool alarm solutioning
- Perform first pass at robot error solutioning
- Contact maintenance/process technicians for support as needed
- Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization and cost
- Complete all required reporting and documentation
- Actively participate in continuous improvement processes, learning and skills development
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
- Strong team member, able to work well with a global team
- Other duties as assigned by the manager / supervisor
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma and/or Equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of semiconductor operations experience, relevant/equivalent military experience, and/or demonstrated technical aptitude
- Language Fluency –Fluency in English Language - both Written & Verbal
- Physical Capacity Demands - 12-hour Alternate Work Schedule (Night Shift), ability to be on your feet for up to 10 hours during a shift, and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Work in a clean room environment wearing gloves and a clean room suit, or other Personal Protective Equipment as required
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, and ability to follow direction
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance or other experience in robotics
- Education – 2 Year associate's degree in engineering Discipline and/or equivalent
- Certifications in Automation / Robotics / Coding languages
- Level 0 load/unload certifications
- Level 1 qualification certifications
- Level 0 KUKA training
Expected Salary Range
$36,200.00 - $59,200.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
