Job Description
A Reporting Data Analyst, you will drive the reporting and analytics behind our sales and operations planning (S&OP) process for our portfolio of Adventure Sports brands, delivering insights across demand, supply, and inventory — leveraging AI tools embedded throughout how we analyze data and report on it.
You will partner with demand and supply planning, operations, finance, and commercial teams to build dashboards and recurring S&OP deliverables, consolidating large data sets from disparate, fragmented sources that require cleansing and reconciliation into clear narratives on risks, opportunities, and trends. AI fluency is a core requirement: you will be expected to actively use and continuously expand your use of AI tools across the reporting workflow.
This position reports to the Director of S&OP and is based out of our Irvine, CA office.
As the S&OP Data Analyst, you will have an opportunity to:
S&OP Reporting & Cadence
Support the monthly and weekly S&OP reporting cycle across demand, supply, inventory, and executive review meetings.
Build, maintain, and distribute recurring reports and dashboards that summarize plan vs. actual performance, forecast accuracy, and key supply chain KPIs.
Prepare clear, executive-ready PowerPoint summaries and pre-reads that highlight trends, risks, and recommended actions.
Maintain reporting calendars, trackers, and QA checklists to ensure on-time, accurate deliverables.
Use AI tools to draft executive narratives, summarize variances, and accelerate the production of recurring S&OP deliverables.
Demand, Supply & Inventory Analytics
Develop analyses that improve visibility into demand signals, supply plans, inventory positions, and service levels.
Track forecast accuracy, bias, MAPE, and other planning KPIs across categories, channels, and SKUs.
Monitor inventory health metrics including weeks of supply, excess and obsolete risk, and stockout exposure.
Partner with planning and operations to run root-cause analysis on plan deviations, surface early warnings, and quantify business impact.
Apply AI-assisted analysis to detect anomalies, explain drivers of forecast and inventory variance, and generate plain-language insights from large data sets.
Dashboards, Tools & Data
Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and self-service reporting for supply chain and S&OP stakeholders.
Leverage Microsoft Copilot and other AI tools to accelerate analysis, summarization, and reporting workflows.
Partner with IT and data teams to validate source data, improve data quality, and document reporting logic.
Consolidate, scrub, standardize, and reconcile data from ERP, planning, finance, commercial, and external partner systems into a trusted reporting view.
Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and reduce cycle time on recurring deliverables, with a strong bias toward AI-driven automation.
Insights & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Translate data into clear insights and recommendations that inform S&OP decisions and operational priorities.
Partner with finance to reconcile operational performance to financial outcomes and forecasts.
Support ad hoc analyses for leadership, including scenario modeling and business case support.
Document standard definitions and reporting playbooks to drive consistency.
Champion AI adoption across the supply chain and S&OP function — share prompts, workflows, and use cases that help peers work faster and smarter.
You have:
3–5 years of experience in business analytics and reporting roles, supply chain or operations analyst
Hands-on experience supporting recurring reporting cycles in a manufacturing or consumer products environment.
Strong understanding of S&OP processes, demand and supply planning concepts, and core supply chain KPIs.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, business, analytics, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard design (required).
Familiarity with ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, or similar).
Working knowledge of forecast accuracy, inventory, and service-level KPIs.
Thrives in dynamic environments where data is fragmented across disparate systems and routinely needs to be scrubbed and reconciled before analysis, with the ability to translate findings into clear recommendations.
Enthusiasm for AI and experience using Microsoft Copilot or similar tools to enhance reporting and analytics productivity, with a willingness to keep expanding that skill set.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
