The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing all accounting and reporting activities for legal entities in Europe
This position reports to the Finance Manager Shared Service Accounting and will be part of the Finance Service Center Europe Team. This Role will be located in Buccinasco and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead month-end closing activities including journal entries preparation and account reconciliation.
- Prepare financial statement for corporate reporting as well as for yearly local statutory accounts
- Ensure compliance of financial processes and transactions with internal control rules
- Support daily bookkeeping work in accounts payable, receivables and treasury
- Contribute to finance process improvement projects such as automation to streamline accounting operations
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Degree in Economics, Taxation, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting, ideally with general ledger responsibility in an international corporate environment. Experience working in an accounting or tax firm is preferred.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Working with SAP S/4HANA as an ERP system.
- Familiarity with US GAAP accounting standards and SOX internal control processes.
- Knowledge of Spanish tax regulations, including VAT, corporate income tax, and local statutory compliance requirements.
Base salary and level of employment
This role is classified under the applicable CCNL as “Primo Livello CCNL Commercio”, which defines minimum terms, job classification, and baseline progression frameworks. The expected gross annual salary range for this role is 40.000 – 50.000 Euro, determined based on objective criteria such as experience, skills, and role-related competencies.
Bonus / Incentive Pay
5% of annual base salary
This job is also eligible for bonus pay. This is the target earnings as % of base annual salary, subject to objective eligibility criteria and performance conditions as set out in the applicable scheme terms and conditions.
