Industrial Engineer Intern
Location: Bloomington, MN| [On-Site]
Employment Type: Temporary – 12-13 weeks
About the Role
Polar is a leading Semiconductor Foundry undergoing massive expansion to grow our capabilities and output. This role will interact with our advanced, automated, semiconductor fab. We are using large datasets to model and develop solutions to key manufacturing challenges in one of the most complex manufacturing environments in the world.
You will work closely with the Industrial Engineering, Operations, Process and Maintenance Engineering teams to accomplish your tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop reporting solutions to improve factory operations and planning
Use large data sources to extract and analyze manufacturing and planning data.
Build reporting in Power BI and other systems to convey data to program teams.
Construct infographics that display key information in easy-to-understand formats.
Leverage AI tools and find new ways to apply AI in the workplace.
Qualifications
Working towards completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the following areas: Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Production Operations Management or other related discipline.
Ability to code in SQL, Python or similar to execute data extraction.
Effective with Excel, PowerBI and or other data management and visualization software.
Basic understanding of Manufacturing Science and Production

What We Offer:
Salary: $25.50 - $32.20 per hour. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
Benefits & Other Eligible Compensation: Includes 401(k) plan and paid time off.
