Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this executive will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership by converting complex operational, financial, workforce, clinical, and growth data into actionable business insights that improve organizational performance. This leader will help answer the most critical questions facing the business: where risks are emerging, where opportunities exist, what actions should be taken, and what outcomes can be expected.
Unlike traditional analytics roles focused on data infrastructure, engineering, or platform ownership, this role is centered on understanding the business, identifying meaningful trends, developing predictive insights, and equipping leaders with the information needed to make better and faster decisions.
This position will lead enterprise strategy, operational performance, and organizational effectiveness through advanced analytics, business intelligence, predictive modeling, and executive storytelling.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership (25%)
- Serve as the enterprise leader for business insights, performance intelligence, and analytics strategy.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the COO, CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors.
- Identify trends, opportunities, performance gaps, and emerging risks across the organization.
- Deliver data-driven recommendations that support enterprise priorities and business outcomes.
- Translate organizational objectives into measurable performance indicators and actionable insights.
Enterprise Performance & Insights (25%)
- Develop and maintain executive dashboards, scorecards, and performance reporting across operational, financial, workforce, clinical, and growth metrics.
- Create visibility into organizational performance at the enterprise, regional, market, and center levels.
- Establish enterprise key performance indicators and reporting methodologies.
- Drive accountability through objective performance measurement.
Predictive Analytics & Workforce Planning (20%)
- Develop predictive models that identify workforce, operational, and business risks before they occur.
- Build forecasting capabilities to support hiring plans, workforce needs, participant growth, resource allocation, and succession planning.
- Partner with Human Resources and operational leaders to identify turnover trends, workforce hotspots, staffing shortages, and retention opportunities.
- Support enterprise workforce planning through data-driven talent and operational insights.
Operational & Financial Analytics (15%)
- Analyze operational performance drivers across centers, markets, and business functions.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, participant access, efficiency, quality, workforce utilization, and financial performance.
- Develop recommendations that help leaders optimize operations and improve business outcomes.
- Monitor organizational performance against strategic objectives and identify corrective actions when needed.
Data Visualization & Executive Storytelling (10%)
- Transform complex data into compelling visualizations that support executive decision making.
- Develop dashboards, presentations, and analytics tools that simplify information and drive action.
- Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Enterprise Analytics Governance (5%)
- Establish standards for reporting, metric definitions, and analytics governance.
- Partner with IT and Data Engineering teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and availability.
- Promote confidence in organizational reporting through disciplined governance and validation processes.
Travel Requirements
- Travel required, including overnight travel as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Healthcare Administration, Data Science, or related field.
- 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in business analytics, strategy, business intelligence, management consulting, operational excellence, finance, or related disciplines.
- 15+ years leading enterprise analytics or business insights functions.
- Demonstrated experience supporting executive teams with strategic insights and decision support.
- Experience developing executive dashboards, scorecards, predictive models, and performance reporting frameworks.
- Strong expertise with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence and visualization tools.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive influence skills.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations.
- Demonstrated success partnering with senior leaders to drive measurable business outcomes.
Preferred
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Economics, Public Health, Data Science, or related field.
- Experience supporting healthcare, payer, provider, value-based care, managed care, retail health, or PACE organizations.
- Experience developing workforce planning and predictive talent analytics capabilities.
- Experience supporting enterprise transformation initiatives and organizational performance improvement.
- Experience presenting analytics and recommendations to Boards of Directors and executive leadership teams.
