Prior Authorization Nurse – RN/LPN
Coal Country Community Health Center (CCCHC) is seeking a full-time dedicated and detailed orientated Prior Authorization Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our team. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work from an approved location within the State of North Dakota with onsite work from CCCHC Beulah Clinic location.
The Prior Authorization Nurse plays an important role in supporting patients and providers by coordinating insurance authorizations and ensuring patients have timely access to medically necessary services, medications, procedures, and treatments.
Position Highlights

- Remote work must be performed within the State of North Dakota.
- No weekends or call.
- Collaborative healthcare environment, working with prior authorizations for Critical Access Hospital (CAH) and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).

Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN),
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience,
- Proficiency in using EMR (EPIC) and Microsoft Office,
- Strong organizational skills,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while meeting deadlines, required.
- Prior authorization experience, preferred.
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance, preferred.
Prior Authorization Nurse (RN/LPN)
The Prior Authorization Nurse is responsible for coordinating and obtaining insurance prior authorization for medical services, medications, procedures, durable medical equipment (DME), specialty referrals, and hospital services. Working collaboratively with providers, clinical staff, and insurance payers, this position ensures timely access to medically necessary care while minimizing delays in treatment.
