Description

The position supports and executes comprehensive marketing, audience development, promotional initiatives and ticket sales for CCBC Arts, including theatre, dance, music, galleries, film screenings, and other events. This position combines marketing strategy, content creation, and audience engagement with box office customer front facing duties to ensure successful sales and promotion of performances, exhibitions, and events.  This position requires travel between our Essex, Dundalk and Catonsville campus' with the home campus being Essex.

An Associate’s degree in marketing, communication, graphic design or related field and four years of experience in marketing including managing social media and working with content calendar for performing arts or a Bachelor’s degree and two years of similar experience is required. Ability to work overtime during peak periods and fill in for absences as needed.  This position requires travel between our Essex, Dundalk and Catonsville campuses with the home campus being Essex.

  1. Develop and execute marketing campaigns for CCBC Arts and community theatres productions, events and gallery exhibitions to increase attendance, engagement, and visibility. 
  2. Create and manage marketing content and materials including posters, flyers, postcards, digital graphics, and promotional assets that support brand consistency and audience growth.
  3. Manage social media accounts and online presence for CCBC Performing Arts and community theatres and develop content creation, storytelling for digital platforms and content calendars.
  4. Coordinate internal marketing efforts across college channels including website, student communications, student portal, TV and LED screens and other campus-wide promotions.
  5.  Coordinate external marketing initiatives, including advertising, press releases, cross-promotional partnerships and collaborations.
  6. Support ticketing and box office operations, including event setup, ticket inventory management, pricing structures, discount programs, online ticket sales, and customer service during performances and events.

  1. Develop and lead marketing strategies for all CCBC Arts programming, including theatre, dance, music, film screening, gallery exhibitions and other events.
  2. Collaborate with faculty, production teams, and partners to ensure cohesive marketing of the productions, branding and messaging.
  3. Manage marketing timelines and production schedules for all promotional materials.
  4. Maintain and update CCBC Arts event listings, news, press releases and blog updates.
  5. Support fundraising and development initiatives through marketing and storytelling.
  6. Create and distribute mass email campaigns, newsletters, and announcements through Constant Contact and internal systems.
  7. Schedule and coordinate photographers, videographers, and interviews for marketing and archival purposes.
  8. Track marketing analytics and provide reports to support planning and decision-making.
  9. Coordinate group sales efforts and educational matinee outreach programs.
  10. Build and maintain relationships with local media outlets, arts journalists, bloggers, radio stations, television stations, and influencers. 
  11. Coordinates media interviews, press coverage, artist spotlights, and promotional appearances.
  12. Manage event listings on local, regional, and national arts calendars, social media groups and community event platforms.
  13. Support preparation, processing, and management of ticket inventory through back-end setup of events, seating maps and customer codes, including PLUs, price points, discount codes and matching to general ledger accounts.
  14. Support maintenance of performing arts website and on-line ticketing interface with ticketing software vendor, including releasing inventory for on-line sale.
  15. Assist in the training and scheduling of temporary hourly box office employees, student marketing interns, work-study students, students' ambassadors, and volunteers.
  16. Assist with ticket sales promotions, audience engagement strategies, and event visibility initiatives.
  17. Assist with box office tickets sales during events and audience experience during events.
  18. Handle cash, check and credit card transactions for box office tickets and merchandise. 
  19. Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries and assist with bulk mailings.
