User Experience (UX) Designer I

A User Experience (UX) Designer I will design the visual and user experience (UX) elements of websites and cross-platform apps, combining business and product strategy, UX design principles, and UX research and feedback.

This is an on-site position located in Springfield, MO. Remote work is not an option for this position.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Develop draft website maps, application models, and image or page templates for review by more senior colleagues in order to meet user needs, industry standards, and/or project goals.
Support channel management by analyzing best practices through competitive benchmarking, customer insights, A/B testing, feedback from cross-functional partners, and site feature/functionality enhancement.
Research and interpret data, trends, and benchmarks relevant to digital products/services design.
Contribute to the planning, designing, construction, testing, communication, and evaluation of prototype development projects.
Support the implementation of differentiating customer experience initiatives, tools, and processes, including customer experience testing.
Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.
Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
Contribute to the understanding of customer segments, trends, needs, and expectations by reporting and providing feedback on client interactions.
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
Roles at this level are typically supervisors or junior professionals who are concerned with delivering results within established systems and with readily available support.

Skills:
Develops and implements website structure and content.
Directs user behavior by providing accessibility and desirability in the interaction with a product.
Designs and builds web pages, including layout, content production, editing, and graphic design.
Analyzes and researches customer and market conditions and facts in order to develop a full and comprehensive understanding of the customer and its market to enable maximum returns.
Produces design concepts and visualizes them, oversees design changes and improvements, integrates technical and visual solutions into a concept and assists with prototype development.
Uses systems and software to design and build user interfaces for computer applications.
Demonstrates a change mindset as well as plans, executes and monitors activities during times of change whilst keeping performance levels up.
Works with guidelines and processes in place for producing marketing content.
Uses presentation software to create digital presentations.

Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level
Experience: Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems (7 to 12 months)
Managerial Experience: Very limited (0 to 3 months)
