Recycling Officer
Location: Clacton-on-Sea
Salary: £30.00 per hour
Contract: 6-month temporary, full time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 5 days on site
About the Role
We are looking for two Recycling Officers to support the introduction of simpler recycling services across Tendring. This is a varied role involving contractor monitoring, resident engagement, recycling education and operational support.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor kerbside waste and recycling collections
- Engage with residents and contractors to promote recycling
- Support the introduction of food waste collections
- Audit communal recycling facilities and arrange additional provisions
- Deliver recycling containers to households
- Handle telephone and email enquiries
- Complete related administration and operational tasks
- Attend contractor meetings and support compliance requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Previous waste management or recycling experience is essential
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confident working with residents, contractors and colleagues
- Good organisational and administrative skills
Who Might Suit This Role
