Description

Working with the AA | Me mahi tahi tatou ki AA

For over 120 years the AA have been helping Kiwis on their adventures! Today, we're one of New Zealand's most respected and trusted brands. From our humble beginnings as a motoring enthusiast's club, the New Zealand AA (Automobile Association) has grown into a large, dynamic organisation offering many services and products to more than a million Members.

And now, we’re building the organisation of the future – more connected, modern, and purpose-driven. We are a business in transformation, with opportunities to work cross-functionally, grow new skills, and make a meaningful impact. We’re investing in our people, platforms, and ways of working to stay ahead of what our Members and customers need.

What You'll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga

As our Warehouse/Storeperson, you'll play an important role in ensuring batteries and related stock are in the right place, at the right time, and in the right condition to support our customers, contractors and teams across the South Island. Working as part of the AA Battery Service team, you'll help keep our warehouse operations running smoothly through effective stock management, inventory control and distribution processes.

This is a hands on role where attention to detail, organisation and a proactive approach are key. You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, managing inward and outward goods movements and ensuring warehouse standards are consistently met.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the receipt, storage and dispatch of battery stock and related inventory across the Southern Region.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and investigating any stock discrepancies or exceptions.
  • Ensuring stock is stored, rotated and maintained in line with operational processes and quality standards.
  • Supporting contractors and employees by ensuring they have the right stock available when needed.
  • Completing documentation associated with inventory movements, warranties and credits accurately and on time.
  • Maintaining warehouse presentation, cleanliness, organisation and security standards.
  • Conducting warehouse audits and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promoting and following safe work practices to ensure a safe environment for yourself and others. [

About You | Mōu

You're a reliable and organised warehouse professional who takes pride in keeping things running efficiently behind the scenes. You enjoy working in a hands on environment, have a strong eye for detail and are motivated by delivering quality outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Experience working in a warehouse environment, including managing inward and outward goods movements.
  • Strong computer skills and confidence working with warehouse management systems. Experience with D365 Advanced Warehousing would be highly regarded.
  • A current forklift licence.
  • A full New Zealand driver licence.
  • The physical capability to safely perform the demands of a warehouse environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate documentation and inventory records.

You’ll also be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a team environment. You have strong communication skills, enjoy building relationships and take pride in maintaining organised, safe and efficient workspaces. A Dangerous Goods (DG) certificate would be advantageous, although training can be provided for the right person.

  • Free AA Membership for you and your whānau
  • A day off for your birthday and 2 days wellbeing leave annually
