  • Combine ingenuity, in-depth research, and a spirit of collaboration with design and engineering excellence
  • Advance in-vehicle infotainment, safety, efficiency, and enjoyment

What You’ll Be Part Of

  • Short Range Devices (SRD) are becoming more and more important in the car. Handsfree Call uses Bluetooth, CarPlay and Android Auto are based on WiFi, V2X is key technologies to enable Autonomous Driving and UWB/NFC are the part of Passive Keyless Entry.
  • As a Wireless Hardware Expert (Bluetooth / WLAN / UWB), you will take a key role in the development and integration of short-range wireless systems across multiple projects.
  • You will contribute with your hardware expertise while working closely with specialists in RF, software, testing, qualification, and homologation. Your strength lies in having a broad system-level understanding across the entire product lifecycle, enabling you to connect disciplines and drive robust, scalable solutions.
  • You will also support RFQ activities, providing technical input and feasibility assessments.
  • You will be part of the Short Range Device team in SBU Connectivity and directly report to a manager in Karlsbad/Germany. The team is spitted between Karlsbad/Germany and Bucharest/Romania.
You will be located Bucharest / Romania.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Design and support the integration of wireless hardware systems (Bluetooth, WLAN, UWB) across multiple projects
  • Contribute to hardware architecture and design decisions, including RF front-end and interface considerations
  • Collaborate with RF, software, test, quality, and homologation experts to ensure end-to-end system performance
  • Perform and support debugging, validation, and analysis of wireless hardware systems
  • Ensure smooth interaction between hardware, RF performance, and system-level requirements
  • Act as a technical interface across development, qualification, production, and homologation teams
  • Support the transfer of designs from development into production, ensuring robustness and manufacturability
  • Contribute to RFQ processes, including technical evaluation, feasibility analysis, and concept definition
  • Work across multiple projects, balancing priorities and technical challenges
  • Support continuous improvement of hardware design and development processes
  • Investigate and analyze the performance of wireless solutions in automotive environments, and develop methods and approaches for performance evaluation and optimization

What Makes You A Strong Fit

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, RF Engineering, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in wireless hardware development, preferably in automotive, IoT, or consumer electronics environments
  • Hands-on experience with Bluetooth, WLAN (Wi‑Fi), and/or UWB technologies
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Analog and digital electronics
    • RF hardware fundamentals and system integration
    • Digital interfaces (e.g., SPI, I²C, UART, USB or similar)
    • Software architecture for wireless systems and HW/SW interaction
  • Experience in analyzing and optimizing wireless system performance, ideally in complex environments such as automotive applications
  • Ability to develop and apply methods, tools, and approaches for performance analysis and validation
  • Broad understanding of the product lifecycle, including:
    • Technology development
    • Product development
    • Qualification and validation
    • Production
    • Homologation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with domain experts across RF, software, testing, quality, and homologation
  • Strong understanding of system-level behavior, including coexistence, interference, and integration aspects
  • Experience with RF measurements, debugging, and issue analysis in lab and real-world environments
  • Familiarity with development and analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, measurement tools)
  • Understanding of automotive environments and constraints (e.g., interference, system integration) is an advantage
  • Exposure to or experience with RFQ processes, including technical evaluation and feasibility input
  • Ability to work with technical specifications, standards, and documentation
  • Structured, hands-on, and solution-oriented engineering mindset

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Experience in collaboration with teams in various geographies
