Holmes Motors is seeking an experienced Auto Asset Recovery Manager to lead recovery operations across our four dealership locations.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands that successful asset recovery involves much more than locating and recovering a vehicle. The right person will know how to manage the entire process—from assignment and recovery through documentation, vehicle security, departmental processing, customer communication, compliance, and final disposition.
What You’ll Lead
As our Asset Recovery Manager, you will:
- Direct voluntary surrender and involuntary repossession operations Lead, schedule, coach, and hold repossession personnel accountable
- Coordinate and monitor outside recovery vendors
- Manage recovery assignments from initiation through completion
- Ensure recovered vehicles are properly secured, photographed, inventoried, and documented
- Oversee the movement of recovered vehicles through Collections, Service, Body Shop, Reconditioning, Insurance, Sales, Wholesale, and Legal.
- Monitor recovery timelines, costs, aging inventory, vendor performance, and departmental productivity
- Ensure repossession activities and documentation comply with company policies and applicable legal requirements
- Manage customer escalations involving repossessions, redemptions, voluntary surrenders, personal property, and related concerns
- Partner with company leadership to identify operational risks, improve processes, reduce losses, and strengthen recovery performance
- Maintain oversight of company repossession vehicles, including required DOT, ELD, GPS, and maintenance requirements

Requirements
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced recovery professional who can lead people, manage the operation, make sound decisions, and keep the process moving.
Qualified candidates should have:
- 5+ years of experience in automotive finance, collections, repossession, asset recovery, or related operations preferred
- 3+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of repossession procedures, documentation, compliance, and recovery operations
- Proven leadership and team-development skills
- Strong organizational and operational management abilities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
- The ability to remain professional and composed during difficult or emotionally charged situations
- Strong judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
