Description
A modern, high-end private dental practice in Johannesburg is seeking to recruit an experienced Dental Practice Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice. The successful candidate will lead the administrative team, drive operational efficiency, manage practice finances and HR functions, and ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Roles and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Oversee the daily operations and administration of the dental practice
- Lead, manage, and support the practice team
- Manage staff performance, HR, payroll, and team development
- Monitor practice finances, billing, collections, and KPI performance
- Oversee patient bookings, recalls, accounts, and front-office workflows
- Ensure efficient coordination between the administrative and clinical teams
- Manage stock, procurement, suppliers, and practice resources
- Maintain and improve practice systems, SOPs, and operational processes
- Monitor patient experience and address concerns professionally
- Ensure accurate patient records, documentation, and confidentiality
- Ensure compliance with practice policies and relevant regulations
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement practical solutions
- Support the ongoing growth and development of the practice
Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing a private dental or medical practice
- Strong HR, payroll, and staff management experience
- Proven financial management and KPI reporting experience
- Experience with dental practice management software such as Exact, Elixir, or similar
- Strong understanding of dental practice administration and workflows
- Stable employment history and excellent references
- Strong computer literacy and administrative skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities

Work Hours:
Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
Alternate Saturdays: 08:00 – 12:30
