As global leader in coatings and paints, we are seeking for you, a proactive Junior Supply Chain – Planning who wants to build the basis for an exciting and solid career in our Planning and purchase department at Hempel Polinya- Spain

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a junior profile to gain 6 months of valuable hands-on experience through a paternity leave cover assignment.

You will play an active role in developing and implementing production plans, helping to maximize the efficient use of resources while ensuring production schedules, quality standards, cost targets, and waste reduction objectives are achieved.

This is a unique chance to build practical experience within the Chemical industry in a dynamic manufacturing environment, collaborate with experienced professionals, and develop skills that will support your future career growth.

You will work alongside our ​​Logistics, production, R&D, ​supplier, and a diverse team of colleagues from Spain with global exposure.

Moreover, you can look forward to:

• ​​Use information systems and production specifications to produce schedules and production plans and estimate the manpower, tools and equipment needed to manufacture products.
• Monitor production activity and analyze production data so that the flow of materials is timed and meet production requirements.
• ​Adjust schedules to accommodate backlogs, design changes and material or labour shortages.
• ​Prepare work orders for production based on production schedule.

• ​Follow all guidelines and Group procedures regarding Health & Safety and Environment​.

 

 

What do you need to be successful in this role?

• We encourage you who believes in your planning, problem-solving, and self-learning skills to apply. We are particularly interested in your ability to navigate through changes with energy, positivity, and a goal-oriented mentality.
•  University degree in technical studies (Engineering) or any other related field would be valuable 
• Previous experience as planner or in a production environment handling production´s orders. 
• Willingness to undertake a minimum of 6-month paternity leave cover role.
• Mandatory required training according to Group Training Policy (see e-convention) 
• Able to communicate clearly and consistently in Spanish and English
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
• Proficient in using Microsoft digital tools.

The successful candidate will demonstrate sound problem-analysis capabilities, using data and insights to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
