Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Design Engineer with 5–10 years of experience in HVAC design and building services engineering. The candidate will be responsible for delivering HVAC design solutions for overseas and local projects, ensuring compliance with applicable design standards, project specifications, and quality requirements. The role involves coordination with multidisciplinary teams, preparation of engineering deliverables, and supporting projects from design development through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC designs for commercial, residential, institutional, and other building projects.
• Prepare HVAC design calculations, cooling and heating load calculations, and equipment selection.
• Develop HVAC layouts, ducting layouts, piping layouts, and system schematics.
• Prepare design drawings, specifications, schedules, and other project deliverables.
• Design HVAC systems including air-conditioning, ventilation, chilled water, and other relevant mechanical services.
• Coordinate HVAC designs with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines.
• Review design inputs, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
• Support the preparation and review of technical reports, calculations, and design documentation.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with project quality standards and deadlines.
• Coordinate with project managers, design leads, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Support BIM/CAD modelling and interdisciplinary clash coordination, where applicable.
• Provide technical support during project execution and address design-related queries.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in HVAC design and building services engineering.
• Experience working on local and/or international building projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, design calculations, and engineering principles.
• Knowledge of relevant international and local codes and standards.
• Experience in preparing HVAC drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, or equivalent tools, as applicable.
• Good coordination, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in multidisciplinary design consultancy or an engineering design organisation.
• Exposure to international projects and global design standards.
• Knowledge of BIM workflows and coordination processes.
• Ability to manage multiple project deliverables within agreed timelines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to technical quality.
