Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Computerized Access Control in Allentown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, documenting visitor activity, and responding to security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204): Proficiency in using technology is crucial, as our team relies on various digital tools to streamline processes and enhance productivity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage manufacturing location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-control logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing entry and exit activity, challenging individuals as appropriate, and reporting unusual activity or policy violations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, facility areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
