RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs industrial/commercial type painting, refinishing and spraying to structures, furnishings, surfaces, equipment and roads.
- Prepares walls, woodwork and other surfaces by stripping, patching, caulking, sanding, cleaning, or bleaching for finishing.
- Moves and protects furnishings and floor coverings prior to painting area.
- Posts wet paint signs where needed.
- Strips surfaces of old finishes with chemical strippers; refinishes and protects furniture.
- Stains and paints finish on cabinets, bookcases, and shelves by spraying, brushing, or using a cloth to achieve desired color and tone.
- Paints structures and surfaces by applying coatings with brush, roller and/or spray in a uniform manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of commercial painting experience.
- Valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record.
- Some positions in this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
