This position will be assigned engineering projects, assist with design and process improvements, analyze data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop practical solutions. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while adhering to company safety, quality, and operational standards.Job Description:
Job Responsibilities:
- Incorporate the applicable requirements of the site EHS program into project design scopes and continually evaluate ways to make the site operate more safely.
- Complete and detail AutoCad drawings, P&ID’s, equipment layouts, specification sheets, and various other engineering drawings.
- Assist in the planning, design, testing, and implementation of engineering projects.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret technical data to support decision-making.
- Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project updates.
- Collaborate with engineers, operations personnel, and other stakeholders such as operations, safety, maintenance and environmental to ensure tasks are safety meet the end user’s needs and comply with all CF Policies and applicable laws/regulations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
- Strive to improve skills that add value to both themselves, the team, and the company.
Position Requirements:
- Mechanical or Chemical Bachelor of Science in Engineering from ABET accredited university preferred.
- Some engineering related experience in the oil, gas, or chemical manufacturing industry, CF experience preferred, with working knowledge and application of engineering concepts.
- In-plant experience preferred, whether permanent or periodic temporary assignment.
- A high degree of personal responsibility to develop yourself, seek feedback, proactively seek help, take accountability, and eagerness to volunteer and learn new projects or initiatives.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) required. Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with personnel of all backgrounds and be able to manage changing circumstances as plant outages move.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software. Familiar with Primavera, ICARUS, and or equivalent scheduling and estimating software.
- Must be able to acquire Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC).
- Ability and willingness to climb stairs, ladders, and otherwise work in an outdoor chemical plant environment as needed to monitor project construction progress on a frequent basis
- The ability to prove drug and alcohol free at random or for cause.
