Description
A leading organisation in the financial services sector is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional with strong software development project experience to lead the successful delivery of complex initiatives while helping to embed agile practices and strengthen project management capabilities across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end IT projects from planning through to successful implementation and close-out.
- Define project scope, timelines, budgets and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage project risks, dependencies and stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives and progress tracking.
- Oversee software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities, ensuring alignment between business, operational and development teams.
- Monitor project performance, produce accurate progress reports and implement continuous improvements to project delivery processes.
- Mentor junior project managers and contribute to the ongoing development of the project management function.
Requirements:
- IT qualification equivalent to a BTech or BCom.
- Minimum of 5 years' proven experience managing IT software development projects.
- Previous experience within the financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Solid understanding of the SDLC, software implementation, testing and QA environments.
- Experience facilitating projects across multiple business divisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management, workshop facilitation and communication skills.
- PMBOK or PRINCE2 knowledge will be advantageous.
- Strong execution, critical thinking, decision-making and collaboration skills.
