SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing all. the day-to-day operations of the custom millwork and final assembly of finished manufactured equipment which includes electrical assembly, refrigeration and stone material coordination. This position leads production, employees, scheduling, quality control, materials, safety, and workflow to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company quality standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Plan, organize, and manage daily shop operations.
Schedule production activities to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
Monitor workflow, labor utilization, and shop productivity.
Coordinate with project managers, estimators
Manage installation teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Coordinate packing, delivery, and installation requirements as needed.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Ensure all millwork products meet company quality standards and specifications.
Review shop drawings, production documents, and project requirements.
Conduct inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
Resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Oversee maintenance and repair of shop equipment and machinery.
Coordinate preventive maintenance programs.
Manage shop tools, inventory, and material handling systems.
Assign work based on employee skills, workload, equipment availability, and project priorities.
Maintain high standards for craftsmanship, accuracy, fit, finish, and overall product quality.
Inspect work throughout the production process and address quality issues promptly.
Manage material purchasing, inventory, hardware, consumables, and shop supplies.
Coordinate CNC, cutting, machining, assembly, sanding, finishing, and packaging operations.
Monitor labor hours and material usage to improve efficiency and control costs.
Track inventory levels for lumber, sheet goods, hardware, and supplies.
Coordinate material procurement with purchasing personnel.
Minimize material waste and manage inventory accuracy.
Coordinate and oversee product shipping.
Supervise, train, and mentor shop personnel, including lead craftsmen, machine operators, and assemblers.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching.
Manage staffing requirements, scheduling, and employee development.
Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Enforce company safety policies.
Conduct safety meetings and training.
Ensure proper machine operation and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ensure materials are available to support production schedules
Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, dependable, and flexible to potential schedule changes to meet the needs of the department and the organization.
Executes each essential duty satisfactorily to perform job successfully.
Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.
Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.
Follows all department quality standards/criteria. Raises concerns and issues to management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required.
5+ years of experience in millwork, cabinetry, woodworking, architectural woodworking, or a related manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
Strong knowledge of assembly of final foodservice serving products including installation of third-party equipment with electrical, plumbing and refrigeration requirements
Strong understanding of production scheduling and workflow management.
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, vendors, and project teams.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency with computers and production/scheduling software; CAD experience is a plus.
Extensive knowledge of woodworking machinery and millwork manufacturing processes.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Proficiency in production planning and scheduling.
Knowledge of quality control procedures.
Understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Proficiency with ERP, production management, and Microsoft Office applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree or technical certification in woodworking, manufacturing, construction management, or related field preferred.
3+ years of supervisory or shop-management and production experience preferred.
Experience with CNC equipment and woodworking machinery preferred.

COMPENSATION RANGE:
$95,000 - $145,000. Salary may vary based on experience.
