Technical Project Manager

Overview

 

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, high-impact technology projects across SIG’s global engineering environment.

 

This role sits at the intersection of technology and the business, working closely with engineering teams and end users including developers, quants and traders.

 

You will manage technically complex initiatives that may span multiple teams, technologies and geographic regions, bringing structure, clarity and momentum to delivery.

 

The successful candidate will be comfortable engaging with highly technical teams, managing competing priorities and dependencies, and keeping stakeholders aligned on risks, decisions and outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Lead complex technical projects from planning through implementation and operational handover.
• Coordinate delivery across engineering teams, business stakeholders, locations and time zones.
• Build and manage clear project plans covering scope, milestones, ownership, dependencies and key risks.
• Partner closely with developers, quants, traders, infrastructure teams and other technology stakeholders.
• Identify delivery risks, blockers and cross-team dependencies early, driving resolution and escalating where required.
• Facilitate technical and project discussions, ensuring decisions, actions and ownership are clear.
• Provide concise, meaningful updates to technical teams, business stakeholders and senior management.
• Manage competing priorities in fast-moving, business-critical technology environments.
• Help improve project delivery practices, governance and collaboration across Technology.

Experience

• Strong experience managing complex technical, infrastructure or engineering projects.
• Proven experience coordinating multiple technical teams, stakeholders and dependencies.
• Experience delivering projects across different geographic regions or globally distributed teams.
• Strong understanding of the technology delivery lifecycle, from planning and design through implementation and operational handover.
• Experience managing project risks, issues, timelines, priorities and delivery commitments.
• Experience working closely with highly technical stakeholders and end users such as developers, quants, traders and engineering teams.
• Experience within financial services, trading technology, infrastructure, platform engineering or another business-critical technology environment would be advantageous.
