As a Brand Expression Designer, you will be responsible for shaping and executing compelling, equity-building design experiences. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong executional excellence, and the ability to translate brand strategy into impactful design solutions. You will work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality visuals and design adaptations that support business objectives and consumer engagement. You will need an overall understanding of the creative design process to bring your ideas to life. You will collaborate with other likeminded creatives and multidisciplinary teams to support the business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Execution & Adaptation: Own and drive the adaptation of designs, ensuring alignment with brand standards while meeting specific market needs. This includes translating consumer needs, brand identity attributes, and visual direction into functional, beautiful, and brand-aligned experiences.
- Brand Equity & Visual Identity: Execute design work that strengthens and consistently applies brand equity and visual identity across programs. Support the exploration of new collections, propositions, or sub-brands, ensuring design outputs are on-strategy, equity-building, and age-appropriate, while remaining fresh and engaging.
- Concept Development & Portfolio Evolution: Generate fresh, compelling design solutions. Monitor and synthesize cultural, visual, and category trends, translating insights into design-relevant implications that inform concept development and portfolio evolution. Lead and support design evolution and extensions across initiatives.
- Project Management: Manage multiple initiatives and handle the complexity of projects at different stages. Ensure strong visual storytelling, consistent equity, and differentiated impact across the portfolio.
- Collaboration & Communication: Partner closely with cross-functional teams to preserve design intent through execution. Excel in effective communication and collaboration, seamlessly integrating into teams while contributing to collective goals. Justify conceptual and directional design choices, present to leadership, and influence senior leaders.
Job Qualifications
- BA/BS in Graphic Design or similar field.
- 2-6 years of full-time design work experience (outside of freelance work).
- A portfolio that demonstrates mastery in design principles and brand identity. Your portfolio will be assessed on creative excellence, storytelling, independent ideation, problem-solving and technical mastery.
- Design Capability:
- Strong foundation in Brand Expression / Graphic Design.
- Ability to translate brand strategy into compelling design execution.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
- A portfolio demonstrating strong Design Mastery in design and design adaptation, assessed on creative excellence, problem-solving, and technical mastery.
- Skills in design process, design briefs, design CPS, package design, design layout, and digital design to create robust design solutions.

. AI-Powered Content Creation & Prompt Engineering
- Generate AI-assisted imagery that captures current beauty brand trends and aesthetic movements
- Develop and refine prompts for generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, DALL-E, Imagen, Veo, etc.) to create production-ready advertising content
- Generate AI-assisted imagery, video concepts, copy variations, and creative assets that align with brand objectives
- Experiment with AI outputs to push creative boundaries while maintaining brand quality and authenticity
- Translate creative briefs into effective AI prompts that deliver results on the first or second iteration
- Stay ahead of emerging AI tools and techniques, testing new platforms and integrating them into workflows
- Build and maintain a library of high-performing prompts, best practices, and AI workflows for the team
2. Creative Collaboration & Integration
- Partner with Directors to understand brand objectives and translate them into AI-driven content strategies
- Collaborate to integrate AI seamlessly into hybrid productions
- Provide art direction on AI-generated content, ensuring it feels premium, on-brand, and platform-native
- Experiment with AI across the content pipeline—from concepting to final delivery—identifying where it adds the most value
- Contribute to brainstorms and creative sessions with fresh ideas on how AI can unlock new creative possibilities
- Help the team understand what AI can (and can't) do, demystifying the technology and empowering others to use it effectively
3. AI Strategy & Innovation
- Champion AI adoption across the organization, demonstrating its value through results and real-world applications
- Identify opportunities to use AI for content variation, localization, rapid prototyping, and performance testing
- Track AI trends, tools, and breakthroughs in the advertising and content creation space
