Applied Materials UK Limited are currently looking to hire a Field Service Engineer to work on some of our most advanced semiconductor equipment. This is a permanent role and is based out of our customer site in Derry / Londonderry, Northern Ireland and you will work in a 12/7 shift environment supporting critical customer operations.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Using your expertise to conduct quality repairs on Applied Materials semiconductor equipment.
- Communicating any equipment issues with other engineers, communicating with suppliers in advance of trouble shooting, and participating in escalation conference calls.
- Verifying operational quality of system equipment. Tracking uptime and parts failure frequency.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical problems. Using training and experience to identify process, software or hardware related system problems.
- Assume responsibility for complete customer satisfaction within work area. Assisting in planning, communicating, and coordinating support plans with customer management.
- Complying with all safety procedures and consistently demonstrates safety as a value.
What we require from you:
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering or relevant field of study
- 2-4 years of relevant experience, is desirable
- Team player as well as being able to take full ownership and work independently
- Problem Solving - Ability to solve problems in straightforward situations; analyse possible solutions using technical experience and judgement and precedents
- Interpersonal Skills - Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations
- Passion about technology
