We are seeking a talented individual to join our Insurance Operations team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Specialist – Insurance Operations
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Insurance Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing processing tasks within various operational frameworks based on the training provided. You are expected to meet SLAs, KPIs, and business objectives, adhere to company policies, and maintain performance and quality standards during both training and business-as-usual activities. Timely completion of all assigned work and training is essential. You should be proficient in utilizing technology to reduce manual tasks and enhance efficiency. Additionally, you must be effective in engaging with relevant stakeholders as required. Prompt communication of work status or issues to managers is necessary, along with strict adherence to schedules without unplanned leave. Willingness to work shifts from either 12 pm to 9 pm or 1 pm to 10 pm is also required
We will count on you to:
Process Management:
- Manages personal workload to guarantee timely task delivery in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Familiar with process steps and guidelines, ensuring tasks are processed according to established procedures.
- Take full responsibility for the quality of data and the overall delivery process.
- Engage in user acceptance testing (UAT) of system changes to verify accuracy and consistency of outcomes.
- Contribute insights and suggestions to leadership for ongoing process enhancements.
- Support team members by stepping in during peak times or when colleagues are unavailable to maintain business continuity.
Risk & Compliance:
- Ensure that all statutory regulations and company procedures are followed to protect clients, colleagues and the business interest of the company.
- Appropriate usage of systems to monitor, record and retain information.
- Proactively ensures compliance with regulatory and risks framework.
- Identify and evaluate risks appropriately. Recognizes how own actions impact on compliance.
What you need to have:
- Process knowledge of broking business and insurance terminologies
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks during peak volume periods
- Collaborative mindset across levels and teams
- Good command on MS Office applications (MS-Excel, MS-Word)
- Decision making and Problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Good relationship skills, Proven ability to work on functional initiatives
- 1-3 years of work experience
- Graduate in any stream
- Should be ready to work in shifts: 12 pm to 9 pm, 1 pm to 10 pm shifts
