The Global Spare Parts Department is part of the Business Unit Supply. The Global Spare Parts team is end-to-end responsible for the spare parts activities for Vanderlande’s Customer Centers (CC’s) and their customers. Global Spare Parts department is creating a Center of Competence in our Global Capability Center at Pune, India. Global Spare Parts is organized in three departments.
Global Spare Parts
Spare Parts Marketing manages the spare parts product portfolio to improve the parts value proposition to the Vanderlande CC’s and Customers. The activities include Product Life Cycle management with a strong focus on digitalization and B2B e-commerce. The team manages the global pricing, product content and builds a strong relation with in- and external stakeholders.
Global Support supports the global customer base with spare parts offerings throughout the life-time of the material handling assets. This includes the development of initial spare parts packages and day to day technical and commercial spare parts support. The department advises customers to optimize the on-site stock availability.
Spare Parts Logistics manages the central parts warehouse and is responsible for all in- and outbound warehouse activities. They manage stock-levels, lead-times and on-time shipment and delivery of parts from suppliers and deliveries to the global Vanderlande customer base
Your position
You will be the first point of contact for the customers’ spare parts related questions and requests. You will own the ordering process and will keep the customer up to date with the delivery information.
Where necessary, you will also check the technical documentation (Bill of Material) in order to find out what parts are needed for the customer.
Tasks And Responsibilities
Manage spare parts quotations, pricing requests, quotation follow-up, and quotation performance to support business objectives.
Process customer, replenishment, repair, warranty, consignment, dropshipment, credit/debit, and internal orders using ERP systems and connected business platforms.
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including shipment tracking, expediting, urgent deliveries, export documentation, and issue resolution.
Support supplier-related activities, including quotation requests, purchase order approvals, catalog maintenance, and invoice discrepancy resolution.
Maintain customer, project, item, pricing, and other master data while ensuring data accuracy and integrity across business systems.
Provide technical spare parts support by identifying components using engineering documentation and product information systems.
Manage warranty claims, repair requests, returns, and customer complaints in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Administer consignment stock, replenishment processes, and inventory consumption transactions to ensure material availability.
Support digital customer platforms such as Webshop, Maximo, APIs, and related interfaces to enhance the customer experience.
Provide guidance and operational support to customers on spare parts ordering processes and inquiries.
Collaborate with Service, Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, and regional teams to ensure timely order fulfilment and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, process standardization, business performance, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
At least a bachelor’s degree, preferably Business Administration or a similar
Relevant 5-7 years' experience in a B2B techno-commercial environment.
Experience in Spare Parts Order Management.
Knowledge of Material Planning and Inventory Management
Must have general technical knowledge of spare parts & able to read technical data sheets and drawings
Good negotiation skills to develop local buying
Strong administrational skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically MS Excel)
Experience with ERP
Good command of the English language (Speaking and Writing)
Experience in handling multiple tasks in a high-energy office
Proactive and customer service-minded
Strong work ethic and initiative, who would like to grow and develop within the organization
