Salary: up to JP¥12,000,000 annually

The Role

We are recruiting a Senior Data Engineer as a core member of the Data & AI Integration Business Division (FAI) to lead business expansion from a technical perspective. You will leverage Databricks, Snowflake, and major public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) to lead the design and construction of large-scale data infrastructure, helping to solve clients' business challenges. From technology selection and architecture design to team mentoring, you will have autonomy over the process

 

Your Responsibilities:

As the technical lead for projects, you will spearhead the following:

• Data Platform Architecture Design and Construction: Design and build optimal data analytics infrastructure architectures by comprehensively utilizing services from Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  
• Leadership in Large-Scale Data Migration Projects: Serve as the technical leader in projects migrating on-premises environments to cloud-based Data Warehouses (DWH) or Data Lakes.
  
• Technology Selection and PoC (Proof of Concept) Implementation: Select the optimal technologies and services based on project requirements and validate their effectiveness. 

 

What We're Looking For:

• At least 3 years of practical experience in the field of data engineering
• Experience designing and building data infrastructure using at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience developing large-scale distributed data processing pipelines using Spark or Python
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience in data modeling
• Practical experience as a Project Manager or Technical Lead
• Development experience in multi-cloud environments
• Knowledge and experience in data governance (data quality, data catalog, security)
• Practical experience with either Databricks or Snowflake
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Snowflake SnowPro Core/Advanced, Databricks Certified Data Associate/Engineer)
• Experience using AI (such as Generative AI) for requirement gathering, documentation writing, and design assistance, or a strong willingness to learn
• Experience leveraging AI to improve business efficiency or quality, or a strong interest in such explorations
• Understanding or interest in system architecture design predicated on AI (including architectural planning for AI applications)
