Job Description:

As part of the development and qualification of semiconductor components, the Reliability Test Development Engineer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and analyzing laboratory-based reliability tests. They help ensure the robustness and compliance of products developed by the various Business Units within the Microchip Group.

Key Responsibilities:

*            Define, prepare, and validate reliability test setups using laboratory equipment.

*              Interface with and support product development across Microchip’s various international Business Units. Including APG, DCS, CBU,HRR,HMID

*            Collaborate closely with reliability engineers and technicians at the Nantes and Chandler laboratories who share the same test equipment and infrastructure.

*            Contribute to the best use and optimization of the laboratory’s reliability equipment.

*            Execute reliability test campaigns in accordance with qualification plans and internal standards.

*            Oversee technical aspects of testing: configuration, instrumentation, monitoring, and ensuring tests run smoothly.

*            Analyze results, identify potential deviations or anomalies, and propose corrective actions.

*            Draft and publish test reports and result summaries for project teams and internal stakeholders.

*            Participate in the continuous improvement of test methods, procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Profile:

*            Engineering degree (or equivalent) in electronics, microelectronics, materials science, or applied physics.

*            Experience in reliability testing, qualification, or characterization of electronic/semiconductor components.

*              Experience in Reliability burn in oven management and burn in boards development (software and hardware development, programming, debugging)

*            Proficiency with laboratory equipment and data acquisition systems.

*            Strong technical and results synthesis skills.

*            Knowledge of semiconductor industry reliability standards (JEDEC, AEC-Q100, etc.) is a plus.

*            Ability to communicate effectively with international, multidisciplinary teams.

*            Good level of technical English required.
