Seven labor and delivery locations; 12,300 deliveries/year; 30 clinics; OBGYNs; OB hospitalists; Clinical Nurse Midwives, and Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists.
Quaternary hospital: Abbott Northwestern, Lv IV NICU; Tertiary hospitals - Mercy & United with level III NICUs, and 6 regional hospitals

24/7 hospitalist model providing labor and delivery coverage, obstetric emergency care, and inpatient gynecologic services - The two-physician model on Labor & Delivery

Job Highlights:
Provide comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN care, including Labor & Delivery, postpartum management, obstetric emergencies, and inpatient gynecologic consultations.
Serve as a key member of a 24/7 hospitalist program, caring for both assigned and unassigned patients while ensuring rapid response to high-acuity clinical situations.
Collaborate closely with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, Certified Nurse Midwives, Family Medicine OB physicians, and community OB/GYN providers to deliver coordinated, team-based care.
Manage a diverse patient population ranging from routine obstetrics to medically and surgically complex maternal cases, including urgent operative deliveries.
Utilize Epic (Excellian) within a flexible hospitalist model offering shared day, night, weekend, and holiday coverage.

Required Qualifications
Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved medical program
Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in OB/GYN
Job Requirements
Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below:
◦ Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
◦ Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross
◦ Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN upon hire required
Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate upon hire required
Prescription Monitoring Program upon hire required
National Provider Identifier upon hire required
