ERG offers multidisciplinary teams with nationally recognized skills in engineering, science, economics, public health, informational technology, and communications. We hire people with the best minds and then provide them with a vibrant and flexible environment in which to develop their careers. The qualified individual must be highly motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
ERG’s Clean Transportation Group is seeking a Transportation Data Scientist to join our dynamic team focused on the analysis and modeling of activity and emissions of on-road vehicles as well as off-road sources.
Responsibilities include analyzing and interpreting large transportation-related datasets, conducting emissions modeling to assess policy impacts, developing and supporting custom software and database applications to support client needs, communicating ERG’s work to technical and policy audiences, and interfacing directly with clients. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years of direct experience developing and supporting analytical tools, conducting vehicle emissions modeling, and engaging with stakeholders at local, national, and international levels.
The candidate should have direct experience programming with Python SQL, and R; working with software platforms including GitHub, Azure DevOps, ArcGIS, Anaconda, Tableau; and using the EPA MOVES and FAA Aviation Environmental Design Tool (AEDT) models.
