Associate Consultant / Consultant - Commercial Services Analytics US Dedicated
Overview: IQVIA Commercial Managed Services (or CMS) is market-leading analytics outsourcing division within IQVIA that helps manufacturers in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry meet the challenges of today’s complex and evolving market landscape. CMS uses the power of healthcare data to help its clients via long-term data analytics, forecasting, project management, and reporting services. CMS engages with clients in the pharmaceutical and life sciences space and provides deep insight into patient, payer, and prescriber behavior. We help our clients make effective decisions regarding strategies for sales and marketing execution, payer and patient strategies, etc.
Role Summary:
As an Associate Consultant / Consultant, you’ll be actively participating in the development, delivery, and management of data analytics and consulting projects. These engagements may be in the areas of real-world effectiveness, market research, forecasting, product launch, business intelligence, sales operations, sales force effectiveness, multi-channel marketing, marketing operations, incentive compensation, oncology, payer/provider services, thought leadership, primary market research, and technology & applications.
In addition, you may have the opportunity to contribute internally to the CMS team in a number of ways including: support the recruitment of new hires, lead and mentor individuals through people management, participate in learning communities to build up subject-matter expertise, develop and benefit from training content available to the entire team.
Job Description:
- Analyze secondary data and desk market research to identify key findings and trends
- Create and lead quantitative or qualitative analysis to support client deliverables and business decisions as they relate to IQVIA data
- Independently create presentations for clients
- Provide thought leadership and innovation within project and practice areas
- Lead project task execution by ensuring progress, organizing project data and coordinating team meetings
- Work with leadership to define project scope and develop approach
- Assist in developing detailed documentation and specifications, including business process documentation, SOPs, and client data scorecards
- Be able to quickly learn and work with sales and promotional data, market and epidemiology assessment, pipeline analysis and market research
- Develop broad knowledge of related consulting methodologies and pharmaceutical market through the delivery of consulting engagements and participation in formal and informal learning opportunities
- Work willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goal, both internally and externally
- As a Consultant, lead projects and initiatives over Analysts and Associate Consultants with indirect oversight
- Determine how to unlock the opportunity and achieve growth (within key segments, etc.)
- Help improve how clients build marketing capabilities by identifying and focusing on key opportunities that can drive increased growth
Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge in MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint
- Strong technical skills in any of the following: SAS, Oracle SQL, R Programming, Tableau, and Excel VBA
- Prior working experience in any of the following: market research, marketing insights, marketing analytics, multichannel marketing, consumer marketing, branding, forecasting, statistics, predictive modeling, primary market research, technology & applications, healthcare IT, managed markets, management consulting, sales force effectiveness, sales operations, business intelligence, epidemiology, HEOR, data mining, data governance, outsourcing, offshoring, web analytics, data development and programming, and Google Analytics
- Potentially Prior healthcare data experience, including working knowledge of physician, patient, claims, and epidemiology data is desired, preferably IQVIA data
- Prior experience with customer engagement planning, integrated promotional and tactical planning, marketing mix, communication and messaging.
- Knowledge and understanding of the fundamental processes of pharmaceutical commercial business, their interaction, and the impact of external/internal influences on decision making, growth and decline
- Knowledge of key issues and current developments in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries
- Effective communication skills, project management, and time management skills
- Strong capability in managing priorities so that deadlines are met while retaining consistent, high quality outcomes
- Ability to think creatively and strategically
- Demonstrate analytical, interpretative and problem-solving skills, working with large and multiple data sets to process data in the required format for the analysis
- Well-developed English written and verbal communication skills including presentations, leading meetings, business and report-writing
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Undergraduate or Master's degree with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant healthcare experience
- Project management experience
- An avid interest in healthcare analytics and data, with a strong willingness to understand the US healthcare market
- Strong business acumen and understanding of sales & marketing business principals
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills
- Exceptional written, numerical and problem-solving skills
- Adaptability and an ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge
- Ability to follow SOPs, processes and execute effective documentation of project-related work
Location: Lisbon, Portugal Nearshore dedicated
Working hours:1 pm to 10 pm, as time shift to be consistent with US CET time zone
Travel: Ability to travel to US if needed for short periods <15 days
