Job Objectives
The Logistics Improvement Manager is to drive the next generation of operational efficiency across our regional footprint. In this role, you will be the catalyst for continuous improvement, leveraging Lean principles, data-driven insights, and innovative technologies to optimize warehouse operations. You will act as a critical bridge between global strategies and regional execution, ensuring our facilities are safe, compliant, cost-effective, and future-ready.
Job Responsibilities
Lean & Continuous Improvement
Lead and execute regional continuous improvement (CI) initiatives across logistics, warehousing operations using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile.
Material flow/ Layout Optimization: Analyze current material flow across BUs and regional sites to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities across the region.
Standardization: Develop, implement, and govern standardized logistics material flow and best practices across different regional hubs and facilities.
Training & Change Management: Coach and train local operational teams on CI tools such as Freshdesk, Transport Management System, Extended Warehouse Management etc, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Packaging Efficiency Programs: Explore and propose standardized, sustainable packaging solutions that reduce material waste, lower volumetric shipping weights, and ensure the strict protection of sensitive aerospace components.
Kaizen/Lean Facilitation: Collaborate with frontline warehouse staff to plan and execute continuous improvement events, utilizing methodologies like Kaizen or Lean, to systematically eliminate operational waste.
Value Stream Mapping (VSM): Conduct end-to-end VSM exercises to identify value-add versus non-value-add activities within the logistics operations, using the insights to design and propose a highly efficient future-state way of working for implementation across warehouses.
Airbus Operating System (AOS) focal point for Logistics Operations in Singapore, Dubai and China
Technology & Automation
WMS & Digital Tool Rollouts: Act as the operational lead for deploying new features in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or integrating warehouse automation (e.g., advanced barcode scanning, RFID tracking, automated material handling equipment, transport management system).
Visual Management & Dashboards: Develop and implement shop-floor visual management boards and digital dashboards to provide warehouse teams with real-time visibility into daily targets and bottlenecks.
Health, Safety, & Continuous Improvement (6S)
Support and maintain 6S workplace organization methodology (Safety, Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to ensure a clean, efficient, and safe warehouse environment.
Proactively identify and report any health, safety, or security hazards encountered during daily walkthroughs.
Secondary Responsibilities
Operational Support & Warehouse Optimization
Provide flexible, hands-on operational support across other warehouse functions (e.g., picking, packing, or receiving) during peak volume periods to ensure business continuity.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement by actively educating floor staff on how their daily actions directly impact overall operations.
Global Alignment: Act as the regional liaison for global logistics forums, sharing local successes and adopting global best practices including set up of best practices governance
Ad-Hoc Projects
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide operational feedback during system upgrades, migrations, or the implementation of new supply chain technologies.
Support ad-hoc logistics and supply chain projects, performing other related duties as assigned by the warehouse management team.
Job Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or Engineering related fields.
- 5 years of proven experience in a project planning and execution role with Kaizen certification / Lean Six Sigma green belt or black belt preferred
- Experience and knowledge in change management and root cause analysis, value stream mapping and kaizen facilitation
- Proven track record of delivering measurable productivity, cost, quality and service improvement
- Analytical skills in data, cost-benefit analysis, productivity measurement
- Proven experience in giving training to large teams
- Strong stakeholders and relationship management
