CMM & First Article Inspection (FAI) Inspector | Precision Manufacturing | Roscoe, IL | $20–$35/Hour

You’ll be responsible for verifying that precision components meet dimensional and customer requirements before they move forward. Your inspections will determine whether first articles and finished parts meet specification, using CMMs, GD&T, precision measurement tools, and established quality standards.

What You’ll Do

• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and final inspections
• Review and compare new and previous FAI data
• Approve first-piece inspections
• Inspect components using CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and gages
• Apply GD&T to verify dimensions and tolerances
• Create and use inspection programs
• Apply SPC and PPAP requirements
• Determine alternate measurement methods when required
• Operate vari-roll and optical dividing equipment
• Document inspection results and verify compliance with specifications

What You’ll Need

• Experience performing FAI and final inspection
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills
• Hands-on CMM inspection experience
• Experience using precision measuring tools
• Knowledge of SPC and PPAP requirements
• Experience with vari-roll and optical dividing equipment
• Inspection programming experience
• Experience with AS9100 final inspection requirements and general GD&T component measurement
