What You Will Contribute:
 

The Senior Technical Documentation Specialist is responsible for producing quality, accurate and effective documentation that benefits our customers and contributes to the overall success of Badger Meter products.

Job Duties:

• Work collaboratively with developers, engineers and product managers to understand our products and make our products easier to use.
• Research, write, and communicate complex and technical information in a way that can be easily understood.
• Work with project team members (subject matter experts) to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
• Organize information for presentation in a way that makes sense for the topic.
• Follow department standards, templates and style guide.
• Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.  

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, technical communication, or related field required
• 5+ years of related experience writing preferred

Qualifications:

• Intermediate proficiency in InDesign, Word, Excel and Illustrator or Photoshop required
• Advanced experience in writing technical documentation preferred
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a high-volume environment.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment.
