2nd Shift Maintenance Team Member

Job Description:

Job Summary:   Maintains and repairs machinery and equipment to support manufacturing and facilities ensuring reliable operating conditions for the safety of all team members and maximizing operating efficiency while providing customer satisfaction.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all safety guidelines are followed
• Ensure proper cleanliness of work areas
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of equipment and manufacturing processes
• Repair and maintain manufacturing and facilities equipment
• Replacement and installation of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic parts for all equipment
• Support and perform all equipment and process preventative maintenance activities
• Maintain all applicable and required documentation for maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must have mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Attention to detail
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing a wide variety of machine malfunctions
• Troubleshooting electrical components such as circuits, motors, sensors, relays, etc.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and components such as bearings, gears, pneumatics, etc.
• Ability to understand machine functionality and sequence of machine operations
• Knowledge of PLCs and PLC programs
• Ability to use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gages, multimeter, etc.
• Must have good judgment, prioritization, and organization abilities
• Basic computer skills and the ability to perform duties utilizing company software applications
• Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Education and Experience:

 

• 2-year technical degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Prior maintenance or maintenance related experience is preferred

 

Working Conditions: Indoor factory environment & climate-controlled environment    

 

Physical Requirements:

 

• Standing - Up to 10-12 hours per day to complete tasks.
• Lifting - Parts and supplies, up to 40 pounds repetitive lifting.
• Carrying - Parts and supplies, up to 40 pounds. 
• Maneuvering – Using mechanical assistance devices, ladders.
• Walking - Up to 10-12 hours per day to accomplish tasks.
• Reaching - Upward and downward reaching to complete tasks, up to 10-12 hours per day.
• Handling - Various supplies/parts of different weights, up to 40 pounds. 
• Seeing – Part/machine observation, problem-solving.
• Overtime - Must be able to work daily and weekly overtime requirements, more than 40 hours per week.
