Functional Tester

Our client is seeking an experienced Functional Tester to execute comprehensive functional, regression, and integration testing on borrower validation systems while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry guidelines.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Execute end-to-end functional, regression, and integration testing on borrower validation systems
• Identify, document, and reproduce application defects with clear steps for resolution
• Track defect lifecycle and resolution through Jira or similar defect management tools
• Validate borrower validation algorithms and business logic against regulatory guidelines
• Create and manage backend test data for loan origination and borrower verification workflows
• Collaborate effectively with software developers, business analysts, and product owners to resolve issues
• Ensure testing processes and outcomes meet compliance and quality standards

Requirements

• 5–8 years of functional testing and QA experience
• Strong proficiency with functional, regression, and integration testing methodologies
• Hands-on experience with Jira or equivalent defect tracking systems
• Solid understanding of test data management and creation for complex workflows
• Demonstrated experience with borrower validation systems or loan origination platforms
• Familiarity with business rules validation and regulatory compliance requirements
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment with clear communication skills
