Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Maintenance Coater/Painter  As a Maintenance Coater / Painter you will be responsible for coating and painting the containment areas and other equipment as needed to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with IDEM, as well as to protect Company assets.

  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
  • Paints and applies coatings to containment areas, tanks, etc. to maintain compliance and a safe working environment
  • Works safely with a variety of paints and coatings in areas storing hazardous materials
  • Utilizes best practices and techniques to ensure long-lasting and effective coating / painting repairs
  • Prepares and cleans impacted areas as necessary, including grinding of old repair areas to ensure effective new repairs
  • Assists maintenance personnel with other tasks such as the repair of equipment, pumps, and the disposal of waste products
  • Operates a forklift to load and unload parts and equipment
  • Maintains tools and paint supplies; ensures they are in good condition and sufficient quantity to meet the needs of the task
  • Assists in the maintenance and refilling of carbon units; replaces insulation and steam tracing on pumps and lines as needed
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Education

- High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Experience

  • 1+ years of relevant work experience (required)
