Full Job Description: Assistant Cafeteria Manager
Salary Grade: Hourly 9 | H-9

Position Summary: The Assistant Cafeteria Manager supports the Cafeteria Manager in the daily operation of an assigned school cafeteria, preparing and serving breakfast and lunch to students and staff in accordance with standardized recipes, portion standards, and food safety requirements. The Assistant Cafeteria Manager assists with ordering, records, training, and quality standards, and assumes the role of Cafeteria Manager in the Cafeteria Manager's absence.
Key Functions:• Quantity food preparation and service
• Food safety and quality standards
• Support to the Cafeteria Manager in daily operations
• Departmental records assistance
• Acting coverage in the Cafeteria Manager's absence
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalency required
Experience:
• Basic knowledge of quantity food preparation, customer service, and computer skills required
• School lunch experience preferred
• Basic supervisory experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
• ServSafe certification preferred
• Valid Driver's License required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to read, speak, write, and understand English
• Ability to work quickly, analyze a situation, and work efficiently under stressful conditions
• Ability to maintain a professional and respectful demeanor with students, parents, and school personnel
• Proficiency in Spanish preferred
