Credit Union of the Rockies is looking for a motivated Assistant Branch Manager to help lead our Golden Branch team. If you're a hands-on leader who loves coaching people, solving problems, and building real relationships with members, this role is for you.
As ABM, you'll be a working-manager; someone who hits their own goals and helps the team hit theirs. You'll support the Branch Manager in day-to-day operations, mentor our Universal Service Specialists, support our Member Relationship Specialists (call center), and be a trusted point of contact for members with more complex needs.
What You'll Do
- Lead the service team. Train, schedule, and support Universal Service Specialist and Member Relationship Specialist staff, ensuring the branch runs smoothly and members get great service every time.
- Drive branch performance. Help set and reach branch goals, run monthly and quarterly 1:1s, and track team performance and quality metrics.
- Support lending. Get familiar with our consumer loan products ; take applications, help close approved loans, and guide members through the process.
- Solve problems. Serve as an escalation point for complex member issues, researching account histories and resolving concerns with professionalism and care.
- Manage risk and operations. Order and balance cash, conduct surprise audits (vaults, drawers, ATM), and oversee ATM maintenance and reconciliation.
- Help keep the branch secure. Partner with the Branch Manager on opening/closing procedures and building security.
- Grow the team. Take part in interviews and help identify great new hires.
- Stay compliant. Follow all credit union policies and applicable regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC requirements.
What You Bring
- 6 months to 2 years of related experience (banking, credit union, or customer service/sales background preferred)
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong communication skills ; comfortable with members and teammates in person, by phone, and by email
- Comfort with cross-selling and working toward performance goals
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Willingness to obtain NMLS registration (we'll help you get there)
- Ability to stay calm, accurate, and professional under pressure and deadlines
