Raytheon Space and Air division in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Principal Software Engineer [Embedded / Radar] to be part of their product development teams for the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar group.

What you will do:
Work on complex technical problems and provide highly innovative solutions.
Lead agile software development team as a SME and product owner for ASARS-2A
In addition to leading the team perform software development in support of ground station software for ASARS-2A
Mentor team members and onboard new hires
Facilitate and run weekly customer meetings
Effectively contribute at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration
Develop RT SW, specifically pertaining to various radar mode independent functions and capabilities, using various languages, tools, applications.
Strong investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions.
Work effectively with team across multiple disciplines, internal and external
Effectively contribute to program and customer meetings/reviews
Support the program leads as needed regarding technical decision making, problem resolution.
Help to ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, quality.
Support of system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed.
Contribute to the successful completion of program milestones and customer deliverables
Work Location: Onsite at our El Segundo, CA Campus
Must be able to obtain "special access programs" (SCI/SAP/SAR) for continuation of employment.
Qualifications you must have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
Development experience coding in C/C++/ReactJS, ESRI ArcGIS, AMQP, Google protobuf, docker, Java, PostgreSQL or related languages/tools in radar-development software is required.
Experience working on UNIX, Red Hat Linux, Windows or other RTOS
Experience as an Agile Product Owner, Scrum Master, and ability to work multiple software baselines overseeing a team of 7-8 developers.

Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience working in an agile/scrum team hyper-collaborative team environment using typical agile oriented tool suite.
Experience leading a Test Readiness Review for a Factory Acceptance Test.
Experience with ground station sensor pre-mission planning, ad-hoc mission planning, radar Command & Control (C2), radar health & status monitoring, and image product screening
Supported and presented at quarterly Program Increment (PI) customer meeting reviews.
Mentors team members and have performed new hire onboarding
Experience performing classified Data Transfers as a Data Transfer Agent (DTA), works with DT/IA to get SW/HW approvals for deployment onto classified systems.
Experience with implementing software changes to resolve Fortify findings, providing inputs and updates to the Plan Of Action & Milestones (POA&M), and assembled all required artifacts onto media and working a Certificate to Field (CtF) with the Delegated Authorizing Official from 16th AF cyber team.
Experience with JUnit and user Interface Eggplant automated test tools to support regression & automated testing.
Experience with design, code, integration, and test of software into a large software baseline and large system
Experience developing Ground station Software applications
Direct experience with Agile methodologies.
Proven analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot tool and system operation performance issues.
Experience with large complex systems such as ground stations and airborne sensors.
Support deployment and integration and test of ground software at CONUS & OCONUS sites.

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
