Presbyterian Medical Group's Dermatology Clinic is seeking a compassionate and motivated Medical Assistant I or Medical Assistant II to join our specialty care team. In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care while supporting dermatologists and advanced practice providers in a fast-paced outpatient dermatology setting.You will play a key role in preparing patients for visits, assisting with dermatologic procedures, coordinating care, and helping patients understand treatment plans. This position offers a built-in career ladder, allowing qualified candidates to be considered for either the Medical Assistant I or Medical Assistant II level based on experience, education, and qualifications.
Medical Assistant I employees have the opportunity to progress to Medical Assistant II through completion of required training, competency requirements, and organizational career ladder guidelines.

Responsibilities:
*Responsible for performing medical assistant procedures after completion of competency within organizations MA scope of work, under the supervision of a provider and PHS policy.
*Assists with procedures as determined by provider
*Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
*Basic foot care
*May perform regulatory audits as designated by the Clinic Manger
*Assists with visit closure
*Participates with care team to meet patient care and clinic needs, working cooperatively with others to accomplish required work in a timely and efficient manner
*May perform scribe duties after completing PMG scribe training
Qualifications:
*High school diploma or equivalent required
*Prior Healthcare experience preferred
*Successful completion of Presbyterian MA Advanced Skills Training within 12 months of hire
*BLS (AHA, Red Cross or ASHI Healthcare Provider) required
*Maintains current certifications in required emergency response trainings (i.e. BLS) *Completes all Organizational, Department of Nursing and Department-Specific competency training/requirements within specified timeframe
